Obituary of Garrett Joseph English

GARRETT JOSEPH ENGLISH, of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 16, 2011 at the age of 79. Prior to retiring he was a Survey Engineer working for the Bergen County Department of Public Works for over 40 years. He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Hackensack. Joe is survived by Marilyn Hoffman of Hackensack, Robert S. English of Middletown, NJ, Helen “Pat” Dull of Hague, VA and the late James V. English. He also leaves behind his nephews Timothy J. English and his wife Violeta, Robert J. English and his wife Kathleen and James F. English and his wife Jane. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 20 at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 34 Maple Ave. Hackensack, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus. The family will receive friends on Friday afternoon from 2 – 4 PM at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack.
