Obituary of George J. Ennis
GEORGE J. ENNIS, of Howell Township, formerly of Hackensack, died on Friday, June 18, 2010, at his home, at the age of 80 years. Prior to retiring, he was the production manager at Crompton and Knowles of Mahwah. Previously, he worked for International Flavors and Fragrances of Teterboro. A Navy veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of the K of C # 1672 of Freehold and the Surrey Downs Men's Club of Howell. A former parishioner and usher at Holy Trinity R. C. Church, he served as assistant and scout master for Boy Scout Troop # 5 from 1958-1993 and received the Silver Beaver Award in 1976. Beloved husband of the late Joan A. (nee Westwood). Devoted father of George Ennis and his wife Mary of Newtown, PA, Kathleen Ennis of Freehold, Kevin Ennis and his wife Laura of Westampton, Patrick Ennis and his wife Mary Kate of West Deptford, Elizabeth Koslowski and her husband Norman of Tinton Falls, and the late Stephen Ennis and his wife Donna of Mechanicsburg, PA. Loving grandfather of Brad, Matthew, Erin, Shawnna, Paige, Patrick Ryan, Alex, Evan, Connor and Jason. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 23, at Holy Trinity
R. C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack at 10:00 AM. with burial following at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting will be on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
