Obituary of Michael G. Fitzpatrick

MICHAEL G. FITZPATRICK, of Leonia, died on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, at the age of 64 years. Born in Bayonne, he had lived in Cliffside Park prior to Leonia where he lived for fourteen years. He retired as a firefighter for the City of Hackensack, where he worked for 25 years, and currently owned Palisades Badge and Emblem Company of Leonia. Previously he worked as a firefighter for the California Division of Forestry. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of I.A.F.F. # 2081 of Hackensack and a charter member of the Metro Fire Radio Group. Beloved husband of Roberta (nee Bronson). Devoted father of Robert Fitzpatrick of Philadelphia. The funeral service will be on Friday, October 8th, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Reverend Brian Laffler officiating. Cremation will follow at Cedar Lawn Crematory. Visiting will be on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Memorial donations to the Hackensack Fire Department Widow and Orphans Fund, 205 State Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601 would be appreciated.
