Obituary of Carolyn A. Fonti

CAROLYN A. DE STEFANO FONTI, of Hackensack, died on Sunday, May 4, 2008, at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, at the age of 85 years. Prior to retiring in 1984, she owned Fonti's Luncheonette of Hackensack where many gathered to enjoy her quick wit and sense of humor. She was an avid Yankee Fan, a great cook, loved ballroom dancing, a card game, a good laugh and the company of her family and friends. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R. C. Church and a member of the Rosary Society. Predeceased by her husband, the late Albert Fontii who died in 1978, and a sister Regina Marrella, she is survived by her children, Bernadine Fonti of Hackensack, Micheline Esposito and her husband Anthony of Eatontown, Kathleen Fonti of Rochelle Park, Albert Fonti and his wife Linda of Wayne and Maureen Bruno and her husband Vincent of Bayville, her grandchildren, Carrie, Seth, Jennifer, Maggie, Albert, Nicholas, Christopher, Michelle, Michael and Thomas. her brother, Dr. Thomas De Stefano of Leonia, and her sister, Estelle Troisi and her husband William of Toms River. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, May 8th, at Holy Trinity R. C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack, at 9:30 AM with entombment following at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Visiting will be on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
