Obituary of Josephine Ruta

JOSEPHINE CHECKLER RUTA, of Hackensack , died on Thursday April 2, 2009 at the age of 73 years. Before retiring in 1984 she had worked for General Diaper Service in South Hackensack for over 20 years. She also worked as a crossing guard and in the cafeteria at Woolworth both in Hackensack . Devoted daughter of the late Anthony Checkler and Mary (nee Cenicola). Loving mother of Mario Ruta of Hackensack and Maryrose Massaro of Ocean Gate, NJ. Cherished grandmother of Tiffany, Christopher, Chelsea and Joseph III. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, April 5th, at 3:30 PM at the funeral home. Visiting will be on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. A private cremation will follow.
