Obituary of Geraldine E. Ryan

GERALDINE ELLEN RYAN (AKA Geraldine Ellen Saraulla), was born on November 19, 1928 and died peacefully on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the age of 83 years. Married civilly to John F. Saraulla on November 26, 1949, and then again in church at St. John the Baptist Church, Hillsdale, NJ on February 24, 1954. The three children born to their marriage are Jennifer Bratsafolis, the late Frank J. Saraulla (2005), and Geraldine Saraulla. Ms. Ryan has one brother Thomas A. Ryan, one sister Bernadette Carlson, and another sister the late Maureen Sain, and a variety of other relatives. She worked as a Secretary for the Planning Board in Teaneck from 1981 through 1990; a Secretary to Director of Jewish Family Service from 1976 through 1981; a Secretary at Victor's House of Music from 1971 through 1972; a Secretary to Vice President of Commercial Development at Rexall Drug & Chemical/Dart Industries, Century Road, Paramus, from 1968 through 1971; and also as a Secretary for the Borough Clerk of Glen Rock, NJ from 1963 through 1968. She was an excellent stenographer taking dictation at 120 WPM and typing 80 WPM. She has been helped by and enjoyed many years at Teaneck Senior Housing and has appreciated the help of many at Holy Name Hospital and various doctors over the years. Her favorite things included: a cup of tea, tiger lilies, leprechauns, seashells, bowling, golf and books. Loved by daughter Geraldine and others. As Ms. Gerry Ryan requested: "Weep not for me please, though death does us sever, For now I can rest forever and ever."
