Obituary of Filomena Giarratana

Filomena Ruffini Giarratana, a lifelong resident of Hackensack, died on Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at the Hackensack University Medical Center, at the age of 92 years. Prior to retiring, she was an assembler at Bendix Aviation of Teterboro. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Episcopal Church of Hackensack. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dominick Giarratana Sr., four sons, Frank Giarratana and his fiancée Cecelia Cappiccille of North Haledon, Robert Giarratana of Hackensack, Dominick Giarratana Jr. and his wife Rosaria of Hackensack, and Richard Giarratana of Hackensack, her grandchildren, Nicole, Jason, Amanda, and Michael, three sisters, Ann Ruffini of Hackensack, Grace Ruffini of Hackensack, Mary Salimone and her husband Pat of Emerson and a brother Peter Ruffini of Hackensack. The Mass of Requiem will be offered on Saturday at 11:15 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Episcopal Church, 72 Lodi Street, Hackensack, with entombment following at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Hackensack. Visiting will be on Friday from 3 - 5 and 7 - 9 PM. Memorial donations to St. Anthony of Padua Memorial Fund would be appreciated.
