Obituary of Joseph J. Gilio

JOSEPH J. GILIO, of Rochelle Park, formerly of Hackensack, died on Sunday, May 3, 2009, at the Hackensack Hospital Hospice, at the age of 88 years. Prior to retiring in 2000, he was the office manager for Alliance Funding of Montvale. An Army Veteran of World War II, Joe was an avid bowler and loved playing cards. His greatest love was his family. He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R. C. Church of Hackensack and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Trinity Council # 747 of Hackensack. Beloved husband of Gladys (nee Suarez) and the late Mary (Nee Ruhlman). Devoted father of Jo Anne Reitsma and her husband the late Robert of Fair Lawn, Judy Greenwald and her husband Robert of Rochelle Park, Edona Alvaro and her husband William of Washington Twp., and Domenick Gilio and his wife Sherry of Lake Ronkonkoma, NY. Loving grandfather of Robert, William, Mary Jo, Julie, Joseph, Christopher, Michael, Domenick, Jennifer and Devin and 11 Great Grandchildren. Dearest brother of Anthony Gilio and his wife Martha of Paramus, Fay Regan of Hackensack, and the late Ida Campagna. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 6th, at Holy Trinity R. C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack, at 11:00 AM with burial following at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
