Maria Elva "Emma" Gomez, of Hackensack, died on Monday, November 21, 2005 at the age of 58. She was born in Colombia and came to this country in 1975. For the past 12 years she was a bus driver for New Jersey Transit. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R. C. Church, Hackensack and a member of the Amalgamated Transit Workers Union Local # 825 of Maplewood. She is survived by her sister Rosario Gomez, her life time friend Deya Martin of Hackensack, the Betancour and Kauf families and many close friends and colleagues. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at Holy Trinity R. C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack, on Wednesday, November 23rd, at 11:30 AM. Cremation will be private. Visiting will be on Tuesday evening from 6 - 9 PM.
