Obituary of Arthur J. Avanzato
ARTHUR J. AVANZATO, of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Friday August 2, 2013 at the age of 93. Prior to retiring he worked as a salesman at Macy’s in Paramus for many years. Arthur was also an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C. Church in Hackensack, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Trinity Council #747, Hackensack. Arthur mostly enjoyed spending quality time with his loving family; they were everything to him. Beloved husband of Emma Jean (nee Orsak) for 68 years; loving father of John Avanzato and his wife Liz of Franklin Lakes, and Irene FitzGerald and her husband Jeff of Upper Saddle River; cherished grandfather of Chris and his wife Donna Pecci, Tracey and her husband Mark Allen, Elizabeth, John, Jess, and Jake; adored great grandfather of Meghan and Kevin; dearest brother of Concetta Monti of Florida; and a very dedicated health caregiver Nana. The Funeral on Tuesday, August 6, at 8:45 AM from the Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 34 Maple Ave. Hackensack, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM.
