Obituary of William F. Heyn

WILLIAM F. HEYN JR., of Hackensack, died on Saturday, December 27, 2008, at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, at the age of 83 years. Prior to retiring, he was an electrician for the New Jersey Bulk and International Mailing Center in Jersey City. Previously, he worked for Jordano Electric of Hackensack. He was United States Navy Veteran of World War II and Korea. During World War II, he served on the U. S. S. Alaamack and was a member of their Reunion Group. During the Korean War, he served on the U.S.S. Taconic and was a member of their Reunion Group. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 55 of Hackensack, a life member of the V. F. W. of Freehold, a member of the U. S. Naval Memorial Foundation in Washington, D. C. and the Sampson Naval Musuem of Romulas, NY. He served as a Scout Master of both Cub Scout Pack # 11 and Boy Scout Troop # 11 of Hackensack. Beloved husband for 61 years of Ramona I. (nee Lacey). Devoted father of Charles W. Heyn and his wife Norma of Rochelle Park, James E. Heyn of Hackensack, and William T. Heyn and his wife Christine of Sprinfield, Massachusetts. Loving grandfather of Derek, William, Jeffrey, Howard, William Vincent, and Susan Mary. Cherished great grandfather of Evan Charles and Hannah Grace. Dearest brother of Elizabeth Becker of Sellersville, Indiana and Theodore B. Heyn of Hainesville, Florida. The Funeral Service on Monday, December 29th, at 8:30 PM at the funeral home, , Rev. Piotr Pilch officiating. Visiting will be on Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Kindly omit flowers.
