IOZZIA SALVATORE “SAM” of River Edge Formerly of Hackensack was invited into Heaven on Thursday, May 25, 2006, at the age of 93. Sam was an Army Veteran of World War II, where he served with the 11th Armored Division. Before Retiring in 1977 he owned the Baseball Batting Range on Market Street in Saddle Brook. Sam was also an avid gardener supplying his many friends and family with his abundance of delicious fruits and vegetables. Beloved husband of the Late Grace Iozzia (nee Noto). Devoted Father of Rita, Anthony, Salvatore, Donna and Debbie. Dearest Brother of the late James Iozzia and Paul Nigito. Sam is also survived by Several Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Great Nephews. He also leaves behind two special friends Kiki and Stretch. The Funeral on Tuesday May 30, 2006 at 9:45 Am from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home 397 Union Street Hackensack, NJ. The Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM, at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Hackensack. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery Hackensack. The Family will receive friends on Monday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 PM.
