Obituary of Vincent P. Hobatuk

Vincent P. "Doc" Hobatuk, of Hackensack, died on Monday December 26, 2005, at the age of 80 years. Prior to retiring, he was a heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Local # 825 of Newark where he worked for 40 years. He was and Army Veteran of World War II. An avid golfer, he was awarded the New Jersey State Champion Award in 1942. He was a parishioner of St. Francis R. C. Church of Hackensack. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Antoinette T. Ruffino Hobatuk, two daughters, Donna Lampone and her husband Edward of Nyack, NY and Patricia Hobatuk of Hackensack, his sister, Ann Frederickson and her husband Harry of New Milford and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Frances Komenda, and three brothers, Lucien Hobatuk, Henry Hobatuk, and Steven Hobatuk. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 30th, at St. Francis R. C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Hackensack Cemetery. Visiting will be on Wednesday evening from 7 - 9 PM and Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
