Obituary of James E. Kierce

JAMES E. KIERCE, of Hackensack, died on Sunday, July 19, 2009, at the age of 79 years. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Hackensack for 57 years. Prior to retiring in 1985, he was a firefighter for the City of Hackensack for 26 years. He was a member of I.A.F.F. Union 2081 of Hackensack and the Firemen's Exempt Association. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis (nee Conti). Devoted father of Peggy Longobardi and her husband Fred of Maywood, and Suzanne Di Tomasso and he husband Aldo of Maywood. Cherished grandfather of Jimmy, Carl, Eliza and Mac. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 23rd, at 11:00 AM, Rev. Brian H. Laffler, officiating with interment following at St. Joseph';s Cemetery. Visiting will be on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
