Obituary of Joseph J. Sanzari

JOSEPH J. SANZARI, of South Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2014, at Hackensack University Medical Center, at the age of 94 years. Prior to retiring, he worked for the South Hackensack D.P.W. Previously he had worked for United Paper Board of Ridgefield Park. He also was a crossing guard for South Hackensack. He was a parishioner of the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Hackensack and was a member of the South Hackensack Senior Citizens. Devoted son of the late John and Mary (nee Oddo) Sanzari. Beloved brother of the late Rose Gardner and the late Salvatore Sanzari and his wife Marguerite. He is survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. The funeral on Wednesday, December 10th, at 8:45 AM from the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 49 Vreeland Avenue, Hackensack, with entombment following at St. Joseph's Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
