I just found out about his passing and send my heartfelt condolences to Anne and his family. We always laughed and spoke about family when we would see each other at the bank. My dad always looked forward to seeing them with the diner crowd in Rochelle Park. Anne and Hy were both there at my Dads wake in July 2021 with hugs and smiles of comfort.

Hy was one of the kindest, sweetest and funniest men I've ever met. Even though I only knew him for a few years he was always so encouraging and wonderful to work with and just to be around. We met at The Big Apple Circus where he and Anne were so encouraging to me and constantly inspiring with everyone they took care of. It always filled my heart with joy to see them together and so in love. My heart goes out to all of his family and I'm sending love and healing light to Carl, Anne and the entire family. Heaven will be a more joyful place with him there. But he will be greatly missed.

Hy's friendship ment a great deal to us. He was kind of heart and generous of spirit. We admired him for his hostess gifts, gentleman way, helpfulness and thoughtfulness. He made our Thanksgivings perfect. Our love for Hy was very strong so we will suffer great sorrow for him. His spirt will be remembered every spring when the trees bloom. He will remain in our hearts forever. Our loss of him is immeasurable and so is the love he left behind.
We are thankful for all the times we came together and for being part of his wonderful wedding.

Hy was the sweetest and most generous man. The first time we met him was at our wedding and he immediately lent his heart and hand to my husband when we needed help decorating the garden at the last minute. I will never forget his kindness and how unselfish he was; a gentle soul indeed who will be greatly missed and never forgotten. At his own wedding you could see how much he adored Anne and how happy they were together. May he rest in peace and I know we will see him again. Leslie and Gerard

To know Hy was to have known an angel.He was not only a wonderful dad, husband, friend, grandfather but an exceptional person inside and out. Whenever we were in his presence he lit up the room. We will never forget our many fond memories in Florence, Italy, walking the streets and sharing dinners in the restaurants. Sitting in our apartment on the Arno was a highlight that we know Hy never took for granted. And whenever we came to New Jersey we got together with him and Anne to celebrate our friendship and love for each other.
He will be sorely missed by us, as he will be for everyone who knew him. God took an angel to make a place for our families up in the forever after universe. With Hy at the helm, we know it will be quite special.
His smile was infectious and his sense of humor was never ending.
We are sorry you had to succumb to this dreaded virus, but take solace in knowing that you are no longer suffering and wait for the day we will all reunite again.

Dear Anne and family,
Our entire family is deeply saddened by the loss of kind, pleasant and soft-spoken of Hy. From the moment we laid eyes on the two of you, many years ago, we knew that your relationship was something special. From the moment we met Hy, we knew he too was something special. His love for you was undeniable. He was always so welcoming and warm to us, and genuinely interested, encouraging and very supportive of both of our children over the last 25 years.
Your wedding was glorious and Hy made sure it was most special for you. Although we don’t live close, and don’t see each other as much as we would like, we feel so fortunate to have seen you both recently at Christina’s wedding and enjoyed spending time with our musical family once again. We are very sorry for his sudden departure and know that words can never temper the hurt and pain of the loss of such a special person that was your Hy. In today’s world, Hy’s demeanor, selflessness and kindness should be a lesson to us all as we move forward in life. That would be a great tribute to such a deserving man.

I am so very, very sorry for the loss of your dear, sweet, wonderful HY. He was a real class act. A true gentleman. Kind, sweet, funny, a real family man. I can't even imagine how devastating this is for dear Anne. And the whole family. I was so honored to be a guest at Hy and Anne's wedding. I cherish that memory forever. Their love for each other was always so inspiring.
