Obituary of Carlo Speziale

Carlo Speziale, of Little Ferry, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at the age of 76 years. Carlo was born in Comiso, Ragusa, Sicily, to the late Onofrio and Biagia Speziale, in 1964 he came to this country settling in Hackensack and has lived in Little Ferry for 49 years. Prior to working alongside of his wife, Giovanna, for 30 years in the family business, Carlo's Market, he was employed with Buitoni Foods in South Hackensack for 21 years. He was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church in Hackensack. Carlo loved his family more than words could ever express, his devotion for his wife and children was second to none. His pride and love for his grandchildren could be felt with every story that he shared. If you met Carlo, you knew he loved nature, he bred and raised Canaries and other exotic birds as a hobby, gaining much respect from the Bird Show Community for his vast knowledge and experience. Beloved husband for 52 years to the late Giovanna Speziale (nee Zisa) 2018. Loving father of Carlo Speziale and his wife Tiziana of Little Ferry, Frank Speziale of Little Ferry and Robert Speziale and his wife Liss of South Hackensack. Cherished grandfather of Steven, Matthew, Marc and Michael. Dearest brother of the late Enzo Speziale of Comiso, Sicily. The Funeral will begin on Friday, June 24, at 8:45 AM from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 10:00 AM at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack, with entombment following at Hackensack Cemetery, Hackensack. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM for visitation at the funeral home.
