Judith T. Sanjurjo (nee Melendez), 75 of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Prior to retiring she worked as a Third Grade Teacher at Holy Trinity School in Hackensack for many years, prior she worked for the New York City Public School System. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Hackensack. Devoted daughter of Ismail Melendez & Teresa Escobar. Beloved wife of 46 years to Luis E. Sanjurjo. Devoted mother of Isaac, Chantell, Neil and Crystalina. Cherished grandmother of I'Jae, Isaac, Heaven, Santana, Khamaree, Noah and Ayla. Dearest sister of Robert, Nelson, Elizabeth, Margaret and Maria. Judith is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends. She will be truly missed by all. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning June 7th, 2024 at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack, at 11:00 AM. The Family will receive friends on Friday afternoon from 4:00 – 8:00 PM for visitation at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union Street, Hackensack. Cremation will be private.
